Two-vehicle collision in Banbury area involving motorcycle leaves man seriously injured

A two-vehicle collision near the Banburyshire village of Steeple Aston involving a motorcycle has left a man seriously injured.

Thames Valley Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the serious injury road traffic collision.

The collision happened around 6.30am this morning (Wednesday March 17) when a white Seat was involved in a collision with an Aprilia motorcycle at the junction of the A4260 and the B4027 Banbury Road between Kidlington and Steeple Aston.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains.

The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and he has since been discharged.

Investigating officer, PC Chris Weatherley, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident to please come forward.

“I’d also ask any motorists who were in the local area around the time of the incident to check dash-cam footage in case it may have captured anything that could assist with the investigation.
