Repair work to the bridge outside Farthinghoe began yesterday (Monday, November 19).

The A422 has been shut between Banbury and Brackley since August because of the dilapidated bridge.

Northamptonshire County Council tweeted saying work had started with the hope to reopen the road in four weeks, adding that some repairs are weather-dependent.
